Early Childhood Research Institute on Inclusion
The Early Childhood Research Institute on Inclusion (ECRII) is a five-year national research project funded by the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education, to study the inclusion of preschool children with disabilities in typical preschool, day care and community settings. The site includes general information on inclusion; information on ECRII research projects, publications and presentations; and a page of resources and links.

Early Childhood Research Institute on Measuring Growth and Development
The Early Childhood Research Institute on Measuring Growth and Development was created with the purpose of producing a comprehensive, individualized measurement system for children with disabilities from birth to eight years of age and their families. This web site features the purposes and goals of the Institute; dissemination and contact information; and information about the investigators at the Universities of Minnesota, Kansas, and Oregon who launched the ECRI-MGD in October 1996.

National Association for the Education of Young Children

National Center for Early Development and Learning

National Center to Improve Practice (NCIP) (in special education through technology, media, and materials)
This site contains resources to enhance the educational outcomes of students in preschool through grade 12: facilitated electronic discussion forums, tours of exemplary early childhood classrooms, a library of technology resources, a workshop on selecting assistive technology, and video profiles.

National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC)
The NCCIC site contains bimonthly newsletters, listings of child care organizations, descriptions of projects related to child care, announcements of conferences, information on finding child care, publications, and links to other child care resources.

National Child Rights Alliance
Features full-text documents on preventing child abuse.

National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers (NCCCC)
The NCCCC site contains a newsletter, information on a Listserv discussion list, job announcements, and links to other child care resources.

National Coalition of Advocates for Students (NCAS)
NCAS is a national education advocacy organization with 22 member groups in 14 states that works to achieve equal access to a quality public education for vulnerable students -- those who are poor, children of color, recently immigrated, or children with disabilities. The organization focuses on students in kindergarten through grade 12. The organization's web site features a listing of NCAS member organizations, information about NCAS National Projects, and a listing of NCAS publications.

National Early Childhood Technical Assistance System (NEC*TAS)
Contains an overview of NEC*TAS, organizational goals, consortium members, and services offered. Also included are Federal Interagency Coordinating Council (FICC) meeting transcripts and NEC*TAS publications.

National Fire Protection Association
Includes information about the NFPA, its publications, seminars and educational programs.

The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development 
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The NICHD conducts and supports laboratory, clinical and epidemiological research on the reproductive, neurobiologic, developmental, and behavioral processes that determine and maintain the health of children, adults, families and populations
 

National Institute on Early Childhood Development and Education

National Institute on Out-of-School Time
Formerly the School-Age Child Care Project (SACCProject), this site includes a collection of resources on school-age child care provided by the Center for Research on Women at Wellesley College.

National Network for Child Care

National Parent Information Network (NPIN)

This site is designed for teachers using technology in the classroom. The site contains interviews with teachers and students who have used technology successfully in the classroom, keynote articles by leaders in educational technology, articles by teachers who have done innovative work related to educational technology, and sample lessons using the Web in the classroom.

World Wise Schools
The World Wise Schools program of the U.S. Government's Peace Corps provides a way to enhance cultural understanding and geography awareness by allowing students and teachers in grades 3 through 12 to learn about other cultures through correspondence with a Peace Corps Volunteer and through provision of various educational resources.

ZERO TO THREE: National Center for Infants, Toddlers, and Families
ZERO TO THREE fosters a network of people around the country who are concerned about the needs of infants, toddlers, and families. It also functions as an Early Head Start National Resource Center and develops and conducts training for the birth to 3 programs that are part of Head Start. The ZERO TO THREE site describes issues and programs and provides resources, suggestions, and a contact list.
