Professional Development Series Keys to Quality: Program Leadership
Focused training developed to ensure continuous improvement of high quality programs.

The passage of the No Child Left Behind Act, and greater emphasis of national, state and local policy makers on program accountability – two important factors that lead to an increased need for professional development. To address these issues, NESA has teamed with Harcourt Supplemental Publishers to develop Keys to Quality: Program Leadership.

The Keys to Quality program specifically addresses the cornerstones of an effective Even Start Family Literacy Program:

  • Program leadership
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Adult Literacy Education
  • Parenting Education
The program was specifically designed for Program Administrators to help state and local leaders in Even Start Family Literacy implement high quality programs that meet and exceed statutory requirements. The three-day workshop will allow each participant to accomplish these goals:
  • Understand the current Even Start statute
  • Understand current research supporting the Core Body of Knowledge relating to Even Start Family Literacy
  • Understand and implement the Key Values
  • Respond to the literacy needs of adults living in poverty and their children
  • Participate in continuing professional development at all levels of implementation.
The series was developed in conjunction with Harcourt Supplemental Publishers – a leader in providing long-term, research-based, effective Professional Development for more than 15 years. Their knowledge of effective instructional designs for Professional Development training ensures the successful implementation of each training session.
