Committees

Policy and Board Development
The charge of this Committee is focused on the continuous improvement of the work of the Board of Directors and its governance through the development of policy alternatives and their implications.

Public Information and Member Services
This Committee ensures that members have current accurate information on the implementation of high quality Even Start Family Literacy programs and to identify potential new members.

Professional Services
This Committee oversees the NESA system of Professional Services to ensure high quality training and support for the continuous improvement of Even Start Family Literacy.

Academy
This Committee plans, facilitates and evaluates Research-to Practice Academies on an annual basis.

Conference
This Committee plans, facilitates and evaluates the annual NESA Conference.

Legislative and Advocacy
The charge of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee is to advise the Board of legislative issues and to create an advocacy network to assist members in informing Congressional leaders and other stakeholders regarding the critical function of Even Start Family Literacy. This Committee provides information and support for local and state Even Start practitioners in their individual advocacy efforts.

State Chapters and National Affiliations
This Committee assists in the establishment and oversight of State Chapters of the National Even Start Association, as well as to develop partnerships with other national affiliated groups that are aligned with the goals and objectives of Even Start Family Literacy and of the National Even Start Association.
